Let´s go to Ghana
Ghana is a multi-ethnic country, home to a number of ethnic, linguistic and religious groups. The largest ethnic group is the Akan. The official language of the country is English, but there is several local languages, which have semi-official status.
In the south, there are two rainy seasons during the year (May–June and August–September). In January and February, a hot air current from the Sahara, called the harmatan, arrives.
A great symbol of Ghana are also traditional fabrics called kente, typical for their colorful and geometric patterns. They were originally reserved only for kings. Each of the colors on the fabric has its own symbolism. A typical Ghanaian meal consists of a starchy side dish and a sauce or soup. Bean-based dishes are common, for example red red, a mixture of beans and rice, or tubaani, which is something like a bean pudding. The basis of the side dish is very often cassava (for example fufu). An alternative to cassava is corn, which is used to make a side dish called kenkey.
